Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority
Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan:

The UAE will be the guest of honour at the Moroccan International Agriculture Fair (SIAM 2016), which will be held in Meknes from April 26th to May 1st, under the theme "Resilient and Sustainable Agriculture."

Under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, the UAE will be represented at the forum by the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, and a number of national companies, which consolidates the friendship and cooperation relations between the UAE and Morocco, and their wise leaderships.

The UAE's participation in SIAM will also strengthen the collaboration between the two countries in the agricultural field.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed said that the UAE's participation as a guest of honour in SIAM this year reflects the robust and pure ties that link the UAE and the sisterly country of Morocco, adding that the two countries have enjoyed a long partnership and bilateral cooperation programmes which contributed to the development of their economic ties.

Sheikh Mansour also asserted the need for sharing expertise and experiences in agriculture, especially with the big challenges facing the sector, including climate change and water scarcity problems.
