President of Algeria receives his Congolese counterpart

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, received on, Tuesday, his Congolese counterpart Donis Sassou Nguesso, who is on an official visit to Algeria.

Nguesso also met with Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Elaraby Ould Khalifa, Prime Minister Abdelmalik Sallal, Head of the Bureau of the Algerian Presidency, Ahmed Ouyahia, Foreign Minister Ramtan Lamamra, Minister of Maghreb Affairs Abdelkader Messahel and Industry Minister Abdel Salam Bouchouareb.

On Monday, the Congolese President arrived in Algeria for a four-day visit at the invitation of President Bouteflika. This is the first reception by Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, after the postponement of the visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Algeria due to health reasons, according to the presidential statement.
