Member of Popular Mobilization Forces
Baghdad - Najlaa Al Taee

Leading member of Popular Mobilization Forces Kareem Al Nuri acknowledged that his forces targeted sites in which Peshmerga forces existed by mistake in Mousl’s Singar district, saying that they reached a settlement with the Kurdish forces.

He said, in a statement, “Peshmerga forces are a part of Iraqi armed forces. We deal with them as brothers and partners to confront terrorism and to eliminate the extremist militants working with ISIS. We have convergent military points and always keen to coordinate together.”

He added that such mistakes could happen, stressing that the attack has not led to any losses. He continued that their forces formed a committee to investigate the issue and to prevent the repetition of such mistakes in the future.
