Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov
Moscow - TASS

Russia, Germany, France and Turkey might convene a new four-way summit on Syria but the dates have not been fixed yet, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Saturday.

"Each has voiced their support in continuation of the four-way talks on Syria, but dates have not been fixed yet," Peskov told TASS.

The first summit on Syria was held in Istanbul on October 27.

At the recent G20 summit in Argentina, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan suggested a new summit on Syria in his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Following the meeting in Argentina, Kremlin Aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters that the new summit on Syria was also on the table of Putin’s talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
