Riyadh - Arab Today

Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, GCC Secretary-General, strongly condemned the terrorist attack which targeted a security patrol in a Bahraini village, leaving one on-duty policeman dead and two others severely wounded.

According to the Bahrain News Agency, BNA, Dr. Al-Zayani described the cowardly terrorist attack as a horrific crime which contravenes all ethical and human values, stressing his full confidence in the ability of the security agencies to catch the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

He affirmed the stance of the GCC states in support of Bahrain’s strenuous efforts to combat terrorist organisations and root out their criminal activities which seek to subvert national security and stability and terrorise innocent people.

The GCC Chief extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the Government and the people of Bahrain, wishing the wounded quick recovery.
