Nadia Al Gendy sad for Rawda Mosque attack

Egyptian high-profile actress Nadia Al Gendy expressed her deep sorrow for the terrorist attack that targeted innocent people who were praying in Rawda Mosque in the Egyptian city of Arish, saying that bloodshed is forbidden whether for Muslims or non-Muslims. She stressed the need for not attacking the people or violating their worship places.
She praised the speech delivered by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, as he stressed that the response will be strong and quickly. She expressed her confidence in the Egyptian security authorities and their ability to contain the current crisis witnessed in Sinai and to eliminate the terrorist groups that pose serious threats against the Egyptian people in all over the country.
She expressed her deep sorrow for the death of high-profile artist Shadia praying for her to rest in peace. She stressed that it is painful end of the current year as the Egyptians lost one of the major artists who enriched the artistic career with her wonderful works.
She added, “Despite her death, she will keep her presence among the Egyptian people with her works and beautiful voice. Shadia means pleasure and happiness. When we were seeing to her face, we were feeling happiness, while we lost now this happiness.”
She revealed that she is preparing her new TV drama show “Love and Weapon” scheduled to be presented during the coming drama season of Ramadan after being absent from the Egyptian scene for two years.
Nadia said, "I will be back on television next Ramadan. The storyline is inspired from the writer Adel Hamouda about national security being threatened, weapon trafficking and corruption within the government.”
She added, "Smuggling weapons after 25 January revolution has become more frequent and more dangerous. But The drama itself does not mention the revolution, mentioning that the new drama show is directed by Nader Galal and produced by Mohamed Mokhtar.
On the other hand, she expressed her resentment over what was published about her marriage, saying that what was published in this regard are unfounded rumors. She denied any intention to marry during the current period, saying that if she decided to take the step, she would announce it.
She added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, the different media platforms should not participate in promoting such rumors, stressing the need for checking accuracy before publishing the news related to the people’s personal lives.
She spends her day normally, she visits her parents and friends, exercises, enjoys the sea, and she designs her own clothes. She describes herself as a girl who wants to be in a relationship with a man who loves and respects her and her career, and if she got involved with someone, she will announce it to everyone. She likes to record every beautiful moment of her life through photos, she also likes eastern foods and fish, and prefers blue, red brown and beige.
