CAIRO - Arabstoday

Syrian singer Asalah Nasri Syrian singer Asalah Nasri announced that she refuses to travel to Syria and join Syrian stars in their support for the current Syrian government and President Bashar Al Assad.  Asalah said that

Syrian stars are “putting on an act fearing for their careers and even their lives.”

Asalah said that she is devastated over the conditions in Syria and the crimes being committed against protesters and revolutionaries opposing the current regime.
"If I was not pregnant I would immediately go to Syria and join protesters who are fighting for their lives and defying the dictatorial government," she said.
Asalah sent out a message to all revolutionists telling them that the future is theirs and their suffering and bloodshed will eventually end and will provide a safe and secure place for generations to come.
The government and army will pay dearly for the torture and violence they are committing against the protesters, she added.
