Ahmed Mekki could not participate in Ramadan

Egyptian singer Ahmed Meki expressed his hope to present a new rap song in Europe during the coming period to represent the Arab identity, saying that he is keen to listen all kinds of music, including Sufi and Western music.

He added that he has not decided whether to participate in the coming drama season of Ramadan or not, saying that he exerted increasing efforts to end the filming of his latest drama show “Khalsana Beshyaka” presented during the latest drama season of Ramadan.

He added that the drama show was high cost, thanking the producer Amr Ismail, who did not hesitate to work for his success, pointing out that the work was highlighting the issues of women and men to see a lot of imagination. He stressed that the drama show managed to achieve notable success, saying that he received positive reactions for his role during the drama show.

He stressed his keenness to choose his works carefully, saying that he received a large number of offers to participate in drama works during the latest season of Ramadan, while he preferred to participate in “Between Two Worlds” due to its good scenario and different nature if compared to the other works he presented before.

The Egyptian superstar praised his experiences with a number of major artists, saying that he was lucky to start his career with them. He added that it was a great opportunity to stand before great actresses since the beginning of his career as an actor.

He stressed that it is important for the actor to receive honor while he is still alive, saying that he was keen to honor a large number of superstars when he took the responsibility of Cairo Film Festival. He added that there are a large number of superstars who have not received honor despite their great works that enriched the Egyptian cinema.

He added that he does not give priority to the idea of competition with other artists, stressing the need for choosing his roles carefully to meet the expectations of his fans. He added that he does not participate in any work for such presence, while he always gives the priority to the quality of the work he presents.

To achieve this objective, the actor said, he is keen to deal with great directors since the beginning of his career. He revealed that he will participate in a new drama work during the coming season of Ramadan, saying that he prepares currently to start the filming process.
