Dr Sadiq bin Abdulkareem al-Shehabi
Manama - BNA

Minister of Health Dr. Sadiq bin Abdulkareem Al-Shehabi has announced that a delegation from the World Health Organisation (WHO) will visit the kingdom to be informed the Health Ministry’s precautionary and preventive measures to prevent the entry of Ebola virus.
He said that the Health Ministry had provided intensive training to its staff on the virus, in line with the cabinet’s resolution in this regard.
He explained that the WHO experts’ visit aims to discuss the ministry plans and measures to deal with the disease, noting that the WHO team will meet the medical staff concerned with Ebola.
He added that the Health Ministry had issued guidelines on ways to diagnose and deal with Ebola patients, noting that the kingdom has stopped issuing visas to people from countries hit by the disease.
He lauded the leadership’s directives to take interest in the health of the Bahraini society and take all necessary measures to prevent the entry of diseases into the kingdom.
