Saudi Specialized Clinics provided medical services to 2,654 Syrians at the Zaatari camp in Jordan in their 233rd week of operation, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.
The medical director of the clinics, Dr. Hamid Al-Mifalany, said the number of patients visiting the pediatric clinic stood at 837, while those visiting cardiac, general medicine, surgical and orthopedic clinics reached 39, 300, 208 and 168 patients, respectively. The number of visitors to the dermatology, Ear-Nose-Throth (ENT) and vaccine clinics reached 300, 105 and 62, while the lab section conducted 321 tests, he said.
Some 1,864 medical prescriptions were issued during the week, he added.
The regional director of the Saudi National Campaign, Dr. Badr bin Abdulrahman Al-Samhan, said the efforts exerted by the Saudi Specialized Clinics, part of the campaign to support Syrian refugees, make it one of the key treatment units in the refugee camp at the level of international organizations.
He said the priorities of the campaign are to combat disease, raise the level of public health, and provide necessary treatment of seasonal and acute diseases.
