No new case of infection with the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) was reported on Sunday in South Korea, but one death was added, the health ministry said.

The total number of MERS contagion was unchanged at 182 compared with the previous day, according to the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

One more death was added, raising the death toll to 32 and the fatality rate to 17.6 percent.

The country's MERS outbreak has abated recently as only one case was discovered on Saturday.

One more patient was released from a hospital, sending the total discharge number to 91, or 50 percent of the combined contagion cases.

Excluding the dead and those discharged, 59 patients are under treatment. Among them, 15 patients are now in unstable condition.

The number of those quarantined increased from 2,467 on Saturday to 2,562 on Sunday.
