The Consumer Protection Agency
Cairo - Arab Today

The Consumer Protection Agency said Pepsi soft drinks conform to quality standards and do not contain any harmful or poisonous materials which affect human health.

Pepsi is fit for human consumption, the agency said.

The agency has recently monitored some news stories, fanned by some on social networking websites that Pepsi drink contains a poisonous lethal substance, CPA Chairman Atef Yacoub said in a statement on Sunday.

Samples of Pepsi were analyzed at the health ministry's laboratories to make sure they are free of any harmful materials which may affect the health of Egyptian consumers, he added.
