Brussels - XINHUA

Brussels Airport said on Friday that it would increase the screening of passengers coming from countries affected by Ebola.
The Brussels Airport Company would set up a specialised section to handle baggage coming from countries particularly affected by the deadly virus, a company statement said.
The airport said it would work closely with the federal health services to curb the spread of Ebola, which has so far not reached Belgium.
It said that it would respond to staff fears by introducing more stringent baggage handling procedures from flights from countries largely affected by the virus, such as Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Luggage from affected areas would be inspected by a specialist company to seek the leak of liquids. Intact luggage will follow the normal process while the luggage that has leaks will be destroyed, the airport said.
Brussels Airport Company also emphasised its compliance with existing procedures for bio-hazards, and the wearing of personal protective equipment for concerned staff until the end of the year.
