Meeting
Manama - BNA

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed the need to seriously think of adopting new methods of treatment based on modern medical studies instead of the traditional techniques, which, he said, requires more interest in research centres to make them the main treatment elements.
He called on international medical competencies to raise the alarm about the conflicts and troubles currently witnessed by the region, and issue warning of their consequences on general public health, particularly regarding the risk of epidemics and infectious diseases.
This came as HRH Premier received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the heads of the delegations to the International Collaborative Conference in Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ICMID Bahrain 2015), held under his patronage with the participation of over 500 pharmaceutical and medical professionals from Bahrain, Arab and European countries.
HRH Premier said that knowledge and science have no limits, noting that the focus should always be on making progress, especially in the medical field.
He stressed the need to cope with the rapid scientific developments in order to be able to provide quality health services for the citizens.
In this regard, HRH Premier highlighted the government's constant desire to upgrade the health sector in the kingdom and develop it according to a strategic vision aiming to improve the quality and efficiency of health services and ensure the citizens' access to them.
HRH Premier affirmed the kingdom's interest in hosting prestigious international conferences that bring together experts and competencies from all over the world, being platforms for exchanging medical and scientific expertise, preparing studies and issuing recommendations on ways to combat diseases.
Heads of the delegations expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his patronage of ICMID Bahrain 2015.
They said his patronage of the event reflects his interest in the health and medical sector, praising the government's outstanding preparation for the conference, which, they said, will ensure its success and help the conferees exchange expertise and studies concerning infectious diseases.
