Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah
Manama - BNA

The Supreme Council for Health (SCH)’s President Lt-General (Dr.) Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa patronised the inauguration of the First International Trauma Conference2015.

Organised by the BDF’s Royal Medical Services (RMS) the conference was attended by Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Ayesha Bu Enq and the King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH)’s Commander Lt-General Dr. Salman bin Attiyatullah Al Khalifa.

The BDF’s Royal Medical Services Commander Professor Major-General Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa delivered the inaugural speech at the conference, followed by the welcoming speech by the head of the organising committee Major (Dr.) Ahmed Al-Ansari in which he welcomed the attendees and participants from the Middle East and North Africa, Europe and other regions of the world.

The conference is the result of persistent hard work of a group of experts specialised on trauma and road accidents in order to render maximum benefit, he said, pointing out that there will be four discussion sessions and a workshop associated with the conference.

Professor Shaikh Khalid Al Khalifa commended the Interior Ministry (MOI)’s public awareness campaign in the Kingdom of Bahrain aimed to lower the rate of incidence of fatalities resultant from road traffic accidents, asserting that the BDF’s Royal Medical Services will exert all efforts in order to ensure the successfulness of the MOI’s awareness campaign.

Also, a show has been inaugurated by Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa on the conference’s side-lines, which includes 17 exhibiters from Bahrain and abroad which will display latest technologies in the field.
