The Sanitary Engineering Planning and Projects Director of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Nazha Abu Hindi revealed that the Ministry has achieved 60% progress in Sadad Sewerage Network 1038- Phase 2.
According to Abu Hindi, the project aims to connect 231 houses and real estates to the sewerage network, which is part of the Ministry’s strategic vision aiming to cover all populated areas in Bahrain and connect it to the network.
The Sub- Sewerage Project in Sadad, which is planned for completion by the end of this year, comprises of extending 4.7km long main connections, 5.3km long sub-connections and constructing 360 inspection chambers.
The BD831,814,916 project was earlier awarded to Bahrain Pipes & Contracting.
The project is part of a string of projects planned for the Southern Governorate, aiming to improve infrastructure in villages and areas of the Southern Governorate. Another project is being implemented at the Southern Governorate, which is the sub-sewerage network in A’Ali, Road 4812- Block 748.
