Commenting on the second annual Mubadala Youth Award, Nadine Saleh Hassan, Head of Integrated Marketing and Outreach for Mubadala, said, "We are impressed with the calibre of nominations we have received for the Mubadala Youth Award for the second year running. It is inspiring to see the passion our nationals have for the community and their drive to contribute to its progress, especially at such a young age."

She added, "We hope that their stories will motivate others to give back to the UAE, and encourage parents to build an environment which fosters innovation and bright minds. The fact we have siblings winning this year's edition of the Award is testament to the importance families have in helping children contribute to our community."

Under the theme "From College to Career", the Youth Forum was attended by hundreds of students from the ages of 17 to 25 from across the UAE. For the fifth year, it offered students the opportunity to interact with Emirati leaders, and introduced them to opportunities and programmes at Mubadala-owned companies.

The forum included a number of interactive sessions with Homaid Al Shemmari, Chief Executive Officer, Aerospace and Engineering Services, Mubadala, Dr. Sheikh Majid Al Qasimi, Veterinarian and Director, Terrestrial Biodiversity, Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi, and Iman Al Qassim, Associate Director of Human Capital, Mubadala, who shared their own career journeys, provided insights on making the transition to employment, and discussed the impact young nationals can have in developing the nation's economy.

A panel session with representatives from Mubadala Development Company, Emirates Defence Industries Company and Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority provided future job-seekers with advice on transitioning from academic to professional life, by drawing on their own experiences. The forum concluded with students attending a hands-on workshop that provided practical experience to help with their career progression in today's diversified economy.

Commenting on this year's Youth Forum, Laila Saif, Human Resources Director, Emirates Defence Industries Company, said, "It has been a pleasure interacting with some our nation's brightest today, and hearing from my fellow speakers at the forum. I hope that by imparting some of the knowledge that I have gained in my own career development, I have provided some helpful insights to those making the transition from university to the job market."
