His Highness Sheikh Khalifa also issued a number of federal decrees to appoint, transfer and promote several Emirati diplomats. The Official Gazette published these decrees in its latest issue.

The agreements that were ratified include an agreement between the UAE and Slovakia to encourage the mutual protection of investments, as well as two cooperation agreements with Oman on civil defence and the international land transportation of passengers and goods, an agreement with Belarus on the mutual protection of classified information, an agreement with Tanzania to establish airline services between their territories, and an aerial transportation agreement with Sweden.
