UAE ambassador attends inter-cultural dialogue conference

Saqr Al Raisi, UAE Ambassador to Rome, attended here on Thursday an international conference entitled: "Inter-cultural and Inter-religious Dialogue in Promoting Peace: the 800-year presence of Franciscans in the Holy Land", which was organised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Angelino Alfano, Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, said in the keynote speech that religious freedom is a fundamental principle in human coexistence, both in individual relationships and in the relations between communities and consequently between states.
In attendance were a number of ambassadors accredited to Italy, scholars and human rights advocates.
