Ankara - XINHUA

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay a two-day visit to Russia next week to discuss the ongoing crisis in Syria, local Today's Zaman reported Friday. The Turkish prime minister is set to attend the fourth meeting of the High Level Cooperation Council between Turkey and Russia, a joint meeting of cabinet ministers from the two countries in Moscow next Thursday. Erdogan is expected to hold a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the Syrian crisis, Iran's nuclear issue and the situation in Egypt, the report said. Particularly, the two leaders will discuss the role of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in a transitional government and exchange views on the content and date of the Geneva Conference II. The two countries will also conclude several agreements in energy, health and other fields during the Erdogan's visit.
