Egyptian Ambassador to Togo Karim Sherif said Monday Togolese Speaker Dama Dramani received an invitation from his Egyptian counterpart Ali Abdel Aal to attend the African Parliament Conference that will be held in Sharm El Sheikh on October 8 through 11 and attend celebrations marking the 150 anniversary of establishing the Egyptian parliament.
Ambassador Sherif said the Togolese speaker asserted that he is looking forward to visit Egypt as he will be the first Togolese speaker to make such a visit in 56 years. He also said he is keen on bolstering parliamentary relations with Egypt in view of the recent progress achieved in the wake of the Togolese president's visit to Egypt in April.
