H. H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and Ruler of Sharjah, attended this evening the opening ceremony of Sharjah popular poetry festival. H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, along with a number of ministers, top Sharjah government officials, poets, critics, men of letters and media and culture personalities were also present. Organised by Sharjah Department for Culture and Information, the festival, in its eighth session, will run until 19th February. Sheikh Sultan honoured three prominent local poets.
