The first Ardha show was staged at the Khalifa Town, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 46th Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 18th Anniversary of HM the King’s Accession to the Throne.

Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa attended the national event, which celebrates also the naming of the Khalifa Town.

He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for naming the town after His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa in recognition of the march of development, progress and prosperity.

He lauded HRH the Premier’s contributions and achievements which laid the foundations for Bahrain’s comprehensive development and bolstered the Kingdom’s standing among advanced nations.

The Southern Governorate organized the Ardha show as part of festivities marking the national days and the proclamation of the Khalifa Town, which he described as a source of honour and pride for citizens.

HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa reiterated the allegiance of citizens in the Southern Governorate to the wise leadership and resolved to continue serving the nation with great dedication.
