Shaikh Mohammad meets residents in Hatta

Saikh Mohammad also paid special attention to the elderly as he greeted them and inquired about their health. He instructed the senior officials accompanying him to provide the elderly with all their needs. Shaikh Mohammad spoke of his respect for the elderly, stating that they are a part of the older generation that sowed the seeds for the current generation. The citizens expressed their profound gratitude for Shaikh Mohammad’s visit and his inquiry to meet any of their requirements and needs. They also said that Shaikh Mohammad’s visit underlines his keenness to meet the needs of Emiratis, who harbour loyalty and respect for the UAE leadership. Later, Shaikh Mohammad hosted an Iftar meal and performed Maghrib prayers with the residents. Before his departure, Shaikh Mohammad visited a section of the Hatta heritage village that was set up within the framework of festivities celebrating Shaikh Mohammad’s visit. Shaikh Mohammad and his accompanying delegation were briefed by Khalid Al Gareeb, Director of Hatta heritage village, on the features of the village, such as handmade ornaments, as well as traditional dishes displayed atop old-fashioned furniture made of palm tree branches that decorated tent interiors. The village aims to portray the life of Emiratis before the UAE’s development.
