Renowned Egyptian actor Khaled Saleh dies at 50

Renowned Egyptian actor Khaled Saleh has died from complications following open heart surgery at the Magdy Yacoub Facility in the Upper Egyptian city of Aswan. He was 50.
Saleh's funeral is set to take place on Friday in Cairo.
He was one of Egypt's most respected actors over the last two decades, with an impressive list of cinema and television productions under his belt.
Born 23 January 1964 in Giza, Saleh began his acting career during his colledge years, taking part in theatrical productions and performing in amateur theatres such as Hanager Theatre at the Cairo Opera House.
His cinema career took off in the early 2000s through his roles as a villian or tryant in films such as Malaki Eskendereya and Tito.
Some of his most memorable performances include the role of a corrupt government official in the 2006 cinematic adaptation of writer Alaa El-Aswany's The Yacoubian Building and a corrupt police officer in Youssef Chahine's last feature film, Heya Fawda.
