Palestine's Abbas chairs meeting of Fatah conference

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday chaired a meeting of the 7th congress' preparatory committee, to follow up the ongoing preparations.
Abbas stressed the need for precise preparation for a successful conference, that aims to strengthen Fatah's capacity in the face of great challenges.
The current situation of the Palestinian issue requires concerted efforts to deal with various challenges, the president said.
The committee's members briefed Abbas on obstacles facing the preparations.
Members of Fatah central committee, secretariat of the revolutionary council, and secretariat of the advisory board attended the meeting.
