Interior and Municipalities Minister, Nuhad Mashnouq, on Friday contacted senior security chiefs in order to follow up on the security situation in the country in the wake of the release of the verdict in the case of the 1982 assassination of President-elect Bachir Gemayel.
Minister Mashnouq contacted namely Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, security apparatuses chiefs and Internal Security Forces units.
Mashnouq gave instructions to the security chiefs to be firm in preventing any security disorder from any side
