Mali parliament speaker arrives in Baghdad for PUBLIC conference

Mali's National Assembly President Issaka Sidibé arrived in Baghdad Thursday morning to participate in the conference of Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC).
Baghdad hosts the 11th PUIC conference from January 20 to 25 with an aim to ratify a strategy for countering extremism and terrorism.
In December, the Iraqi House of Representatives signed an agreement in the Turkish city of Istanbul with the General Secretariat of the OIC Parliamentary Union to host the conference.
The PUIC is composed of the parliaments of the 53 OIC member states.
