Labour and Social Development Minister Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan stressed the importance of developing charity work by modernising the administrative and structural systems and diversifying sources of revenues to ensure sustainability of the charity orgaqnisations’ activities.
The Labour and Social Development Minister was speaking after opening the Social Development Conference-Reality and Challenges which was organised under his patronage at Crowne Plaza Hotel today by Saar Charity Fund under the theme “Community partnership and Charity Work”.
The opening was attended by Northern Governor Ali bi Al Shaikh Abdul Hussain Al Asfoor, social and economic personalities and representatives of non-government organisations (NGOs) and charity societies from Bahrain and beyond.
The conference aims to unify efforts of the public and private sectors and NGOs to achieve social partnership in charity work. It also aims to explore funding sources to carry out development projects that boost charity work.
