Nasr underlined the importance of relations with China, especially after the inking of a comprehensive strategic partnership between President Abdel Fattah el Sisi and his Chinese counterpart in 2014.

Egypt is looking forward to benefiting from China which allocated over dlrs 30 billion investments for the infrastructure of states of the Silk Road initiative which includes several ports, roads and railways projects.

China's "One Belt, One Road" strategy was launched in 2013 and is aimed at developing infrastructure and strengthening ties between Eurasian countries, focusing on the land-based Silk Road Economic Belt.

Nasr will meet with representatives from key Chinese investment companies and institutions during the business and investment forum due to be held on the sidelines of the Belt and Road Forum, the statement said.

Nasr will review investment opportunities, especially in the new administrative capital and the Suez Canal axis project.

The talks will tackle means of boosting Chinese investments in Egypt.

During ministerial sessions, Nasr will review Egypt's economic reform efforts in order to realize development and encourage investments.
