Hamdan gets ‘Distinguished Patron of the Arts’ award

Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, was honoured by the Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Patrons of the Arts Awards as the ‘Distinguished Patron of the Arts’, the highest category of the awards, at an award-giving ceremony in Dubai. The award recognises Shaikh Hamdan for his support to and interest in arts, namely the setting up of the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award. Manal honoured For the third consecutive year, Shaikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Women Establishment and wife of Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Presidential Affairs, was honoured as a ‘Patron of the Arts’ at the same ceremony for her commitment to the development of artistic and cultural talents, particularly among the youth. The award was accepted by Shaikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, on her behalf.
