 EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton will visit Egypt on Sunday to partake in the international conference of the Gaza reconstruction.
During the visit, Ashton will meet with senior Egyptian officials, including Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry to discuss the regional issues and relations between Egypt and the European Union.
Ashton's visit to Egypt will be the last one as she will be succeeded by the Italian foreign minister at the end of October.
As many as 30 foreign ministers, 50 different delegations and representatives of 20 regional and international organizations would attend the Gaza conference in Cairo.
Many of these countries and organizationس participating in the conference are expected to fulfill their financial pledges to contribute to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
