Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State conveyed the greetings of the UAE leadership to Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, stressing that UAE leadership has always focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the UAE and Egypt.

Dr. Al Jaber discussed with Sherif Ismail ways to promote investment opportunities in Egypt through attracting foreign investment to contribute to the growth of the Egyptian economy. He mentioned the development projects carried out by the UAE in Egypt, which had contributed in the economic and social development of the Egyptian people.

The projects included completion and handing over of 100 new schools in 18 governorates, as well as completion of a training programme for women and the young generation and linking them to the labour market which benefited 80,000 people. In the field of health care services, the UAE has delivered 78 health units of family medicine in 23 Egyptian governorates. In the area of Transportation, four bridges were constructed in three governorates, in addition to the delivery of 600 public city buses to the Public Transport Authority in Cairo.

In the field of housing 50,000 housing units were given to the public in Egypt. The UAE has also constructed a power plant, "UAE People Power Plant,' to generate electricity from solar energy in Siwa, apart from this a number of solar power plants are being completed in remote areas of the Egypt to produce electricity.

In the area of food security, the UAE is implementing a project to construct 25 storage houses which will add to the capacity to store 1.5 million grains.
