Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid Al-Jarallah.
Kuwait - KUNA

Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid Al-Jarallah on Thursday voiced categorical rejection of the content of today's editorial of Al-Seyassah newspaper, which included offenses against Lebanon.

In response to a question by KUNA, Al-Jarallah said that Kuwait deeply regrets the editorial offenses against "our brethren in Lebanon".

Al-Jarallah stressed that the editorial only expresses the view of its writer and does not reflect the official view of the State of Kuwait.

Kuwait is keen on having great relations with Lebanon and does not condone offenses against it, he said.

He reiterated that Kuwait, out of its firm rejection of such offenses against Lebanon and its officials, immediately referred the editorial writer to the competent authorities to take relevant legal action.
