Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach, Chief of the British Defence Force, visited Wahat Al Karama in Abu Dhabi, accompanied by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director of the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.

Following a ceremony by the Guards of Honor, ACM Sir Stuart Peach proceeded to place a wreath at The Memorial, followed by a walking tour of Wahat Al Karama, including the Pavilion of Honor, where he was given a detailed introduction to Wahat Al Karama and its components, which represents the UAE’s pride in its heroes and their sacrifices.

The Chief of the British Defence Force admired the design of The Memorial, which represents the values of sacrifice, loyalty, and solidarity, he also lauded the sacrifices made by the UAE’s heroes and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit Wahat Al Karama.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun welcomed ACM Sir Stuart Peach’s visit to Wahat Al Karama, which commemorates the country’s brave heroes.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun added: "Our heroes’ sacrifices are revered by the leadership and people of the UAE, the establishment of the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office reflects the great pride of our leadership in the heroes of the UAE, and its commitment to provide the necessary support for their families and children."
