Bahiya Hariri: State remains sole resort for all Lebanese

MP Bahiya Hariri considered that the State remains the sole resort for all Lebanese to rally around; a uniting, just and stable State. She added that the national identity that unites all the Lebanese together denotes the boundaries for their freedom and wishes. "Any tampering with said national identity endangers the safety of the individual and society," added Hariri. Deputy Hariri's words came during the dinner banquet she held in honor of outgoing Internal Security Forces Director General Ashraf Reefy at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut on Monday. Hariri praised the significant and extraordinary role played by Reefy in service of the nation, ensuring the protection and safety of citizens on all Lebanese territories. Hariri presented Reefy with a memorial shield and the "Taef" Citation as a token of appreciation and value for his great efforts. For his part, Brigadier General Reefy expressed utmost joy, appreciation and respect for Deputy Hariri's kind and honorable gesture. Reefy stressed that justice in the country is inevitably approaching. He added that "right" is bound to win and the blood of the innocent shall be heavy on perpetrators, pointing herein the series of assassinations that occurred since the year 2004. Reefy paid tribute to the memory of late martyr PM Rafic Hariri, vowing that his path shall be continuously honored and followed. He also paid tribute to the ISF martyrs who fell while serving their nation, most prominently the late martyrs Wissam El-Hasan and Wissam Eid.
