Awqaf Minister meets member of Indonesian Iftaa council

Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa met on Sunday with member of the Indonesian Iftaa council Mohammed Zubaidi and UNESCO Representative to Egypt Salah El Din Al Ja'afarawi.

During the gathering, they discussed ways of fostering cooperation between the Egyptian Awqaf Ministry and the Indonesian Supreme Council for Islamic Call in the fields of Dawa and the Islamic culture. 

Also, Gomaa asserted the importance of disseminating the tolerant teachings of Islam and its moderate thoughts, as well as combating extremism.

For his part, Zubaidi urged the Awqaf Ministry to provide more support for the Indonesian Supreme Council for Islamic Call in the fields of Da'awa and help non-Arabic speakers to learn it.
