Al-Maliki: Israeli aggression in Syria violates international law

Prime Minister of Iraq Nouri al-Maliki said on Monday that the Israeli aggression on sites in Syria is a violation of international law, a blatant aggression against a UN member country, and a grave act that merits condemnation from all countries that are keen on international security and peace. In a statement published on the Iraqi Prime Ministry website, al-Maliki noted that Iraq had warned of the threats that the expansion of the crisis in Syria will pose and its serious repercussions on the region and the world if the doors are opened to foreign interference, if proper political steps for resolving the crisis aren't taken, and if the suffering of the Syrian people isn't alleviated.
