Egyptian TV presenter Lobna Asal Cairo – Shaimaa Mikkawi Egyptian TV presenter Lobna Asal has denied giving any interview to Egyptian English-language monthly magazine - Egypt Today. She has called on other journalists to "treat her private life with respect" and to "not intrude into her personal matters."
Asal explained that she had refused the interview following concerns about her personal life.
The Egyptian TV presenter expressed her desire to build a good relationship with the media, as well as the public, but emphasised a “red line” which "should not be crossed" when it comes to her personal life.
She further added that she has seen various fabricated interviews of herself in the media and this type of behaviour "will not be tolerated."
