New Peugeot 208 GTI
London - Arabstoday

New Peugeot 208 GTI Peugeot successfully launched their new 208 in June 2012. Peugeot claims the new "supermini car" has "revolutionised customer choice with its elegance, style, compactness, space and equipment." Following on from the success of their recently launched renovation, they have announced the 208 GTi which has more choice in materials and colours.
At the front end new halogen lights resemble cat pupils, inbetween is a black grill with chrome inserts to give a 3D chequered flag effect. Inside features an aluminium sill, satin and chrome dials backlit by LEDs and all the usual modern features.
Peugeot claim their aim was to: "Create a playful and chic sports car, a contemporary interpretation of the legend that is a Peugeot GTi."
The 208 GTi balances from one turn to the next with complete precision. Controlled by the steering, the settings have been revised to increase firmness, the front suspension returns the information perfectly and responsively. The rear suspension is also well tuned for safe and involved driving. Fitted with 205/45 tyres, the 17″ diamond Carbon wheels, with Storm paint and matt varnish, house 302mm ventilated discs at the front and 249mm at the rear. Cooled by dynamic air intakes, they provide controlled and incisive braking.
The 1.6-litre THP 200bhp petrol engine expresses itself through a reworked exhaust system.Coupled with a manual gearbox with six, close-ratio gears, the engine draws the full potential from this chassis. With its maximum torque of 275Nm and its maximum power of 147kW (200bhp), the 208 GTi has the potential to do 0 to 62mph in less than 7.0 seconds.
A playful sports car, powerful and safe, with an enchanting sound, which is also a practical hatchback, the 208 GTi will delight its drivers every day.
