After opening the Vogue Cafe at The Dubai Mall in May - likewise the largest shopping center in the world - Condé Nast International has set its sights on planting another flag at the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, reports The National.
The 994-square-meter GQ Bar will span two floors and serve contemporary cuisine. The new restaurant is set to open in October and, in GQ style, is expected to be a sleek, sophisticated space that attracts the world’s high society.
The launch party for the Vogue Café, for instance, drew the star power of models such as Karolina Kurkova, Petra Nemcova and Marcus Schenkenberg, points out The National.
And the opening of the JW Marriott Marquis in February was attended by British singer Leona Lewis, fashion designer Donna Karan, and Dubai TV personality DJ Bliss.
GQ Bar Dubai will join similar outposts which exist in Moscow and Istanbul. Vogue Cafe also exists in Moscow, and plans are also afoot to open more locations in Bangkok and Singapore.
In other fashion and hotel collaborations, luxury label Versace is also set to open a palatial property in Dubai next summer. The Palazzo Versace Dubai will include amenities like a lagoon, sandy beach, and 214 opulently decorated hotel rooms.
Roberto Cavalli has also lent his name and designer touch to the Cavalli Club at the Fairmont Hotel in Dubai.
