They suffer complications such as blindness, amputation of the foot injury, renal failure, heart, brain and other effects
Aden - Khalid Abdel Wahed

Vice President of Yemen’s medical center Abdel Kafy Hadad said that more than 10% of Yemen's population is diabetic, and numbers are steadily increasing due to the war in the country.
He added that the impact of the war in Yemen is very strong and negative for diabetics, because of the lack of medicines and lack of natural access and lack of them sometimes presents the patient complications of the lack of medicines.
He added that the difficulties faced by diabetics in Yemen are the lack of solutions to check diabetes, the poor financial situation of civilians and staff, and their inability to purchase medicines because of the country's poverty caused by war.
He blamed the war for the increasing number of Yemenis who suffer from the disease during the current period, saying that the war has doubled the numbers of diabetics.
He added, “This war has greatly affected diabetics, because they suffer complications such as blindness, amputation of the foot injury, renal failure, heart, brain and other effects, because of their inability to buy treatment, siege, war and horrific scenes they see every day.”
