Emirati label Bint Thani to show at London Fashion Week

Design from the Bint Thani collection Bint Thani, a new fashion label by Esmod Paris graduate Khulood Thani, is set to join the likes of Furne One and Dima Ayad in the list of Dubai’s homegrown talent going international with its debut in A La Mode , an off-schedule event at London Fashion Week this Fall.

In September, Bint Thani will show her Spring/Summer 2012 collection which promises to fuse the haute couture of Paris and the high street fashion of London in a biannual event that, since its inception, has evolved into a hotbed of new designers to watch.

Khulood is the first UAE national to get her Masters in Fashion Management and Marketing from ESMOD Paris, the first-ever fashion school in France, founded in 1841. Besides that, she has attended short courses at the prestigious London College of Fashion and also holds a Masters in Strategic Marketing from the University of Wollongong.

From what we’ve seen in her Fall 2011 collection, we’re expecting classic cuts imbibed with young, flirty details – a signature that the designer is working on to become her own.
