Clements Ribeiro Autumn/ Winter 2012 collection

Elegant collection London Fashion Week 2012 started with Clements Ribeiro’s who presented an elegant collection for Autumn & winter 2012/2013. This season saw a mix of folk-inspired patterns, bright block colours and a mash-up of textures where leather dominated supreme. The show opened with busy head-to-toe prints that reflected and developed last season’s softer “wallpaper” patterns. The first look was a tease of what was to follow with a patterned loose blouse tucked into red leather Aspinal of London gloves and a midi-length leather-look skirt with black leggings underneath. It was held together by a thick white hole-punched waist belt that remained a prominent piece creating feminine silhouettes. A bold black and white check for smart pencil skirts and one roomy mohair coat followed by another double breasted version in bright red were great winter statements, while a baggy fuchsia all-in-one with red underarms proved that winter is going to be as colourful as summer. The last lace dress, panelled with leather and fabric printed with a cobwebby floral lace added another element to the show.
