Many actresses will wear hijab (headscarf) during the month of Ramadan as the nature of their characters in their new series during the holy month forces them to do so.
Egyptian actresses Magda Zaki, who participates in "O Allah, I am fasting" series in Ramadan, with Egyptian star Mostafa Shaaban. Zaki will play the character of Mostafa Shaaban’s mother in the series to be presented during next Ramadan.
Magda Zaki was not the only artist who was forced to wear hijab, as young actress Mai Nour El-Sherif will also wear a headscarf during the series because of the nature of her role sister in the series, being Mostafa Shaaban’s sister. Actress Wafaa Sadeq will also wear headscarf in the series as she plays the role of Mostafa Shaaban’s other sister.
The series is also starring Reem Mustafa, Suleiman Eid, Mohammed Abu Elwafa and Nada Mousa. It was written by Ahmed Abdel-Fattah, produced by Tamer Morsi, and directed by Akram Farid.
Egyptian actress Dina Fouad was also forced to wear headscarf in “Halal” series which will be presented in the next month of Ramadan, where she plays the character of Salma – a popular girl living in a small street and experiences many crises over the episodes of the series.
The “Halal” series is a social comedy and sheds light on the popular community and what happens in it, and discusses its advantages and disadvantages. The series is starring Somya El-Khashab, Yousra El-Lozi, Fadia Abdul Ghani, Bayoumi Fouad and Maha Ahmed. It was written by Samah Hariri, directed by Ahmed Shafiq and  produced by Sadeq El-Sabah.
Egyptian dancer Dina was also forced to wear hijab in her new series of "Flood", where plays a character of a mother who has two daughters. Dina posted a photo of herself on Instagram as she was wearing hijab during the shooting of the series, saying: “Khairy Beshara and my daughters in the new series."
The new series starring is starring a number of stars including, Rogina, Abeer Sabri, Mahmoud Abdel Moghni, Naglaa Badr, Mohammed Adel and Sayed Ragab. It was written by Bashir El-Dek and directed by Khairy Beshara.
