Etisalat has been awarded the Best Employer Brand of 2014 at 5th Asia Best Employer Brand Awards, hosted by Employer Branding Institute, World HRD Congress and Stars of the Industry Group. The award recognised Etisalat as a leader in attracting and retaining top national and global talent.
Commenting on the award, Phil Knight, Global Chairman, Employer Branding Institute, said, "Etisalat is a preferred employer and an employer of choice. The company's prudent and sound HR policies are relevant to modern times, making attraction and retention of talent exemplary.
As an Employer Brand, Etisalat believes in continuous training and development of its people, making them proactive to the business needs and the environment in which the company operates. Etisalat is an admirable Employer Brand, a paradigm shifter and nurturer of talent." Etisalat has outlined a clear recruitment and development strategy that works towards honing specialised skills and enhancing expertise of its people. As well as in-house programs in coordination with recognised telecommunication and technology institutes, the company offers intensive training to employees at Etisalat Academy, which specialises in business, technology and leadership programs. In the past year, Etisalat has conducted more than 40,000 days of training, including specialised leadership programmes.
Etisalat's holistic approach to human resource development means that the company goes far and beyond basic recruitment of national talent.
