Bouchaib Lahrach has accused CAF of preferential treatment towards his fellow colleagues
Rabat - Arabstoday

Bouchaib Lahrach has accused CAF of preferential treatment towards his fellow colleagues Moroccan referee Bouchaib Lahrach has been suspended indefinitely by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), sources at the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) have reported. Lahrach had accused CAF of preferential treatment towards Algerian referee Djamel Haimoudi, after he was chosen to officiate the final of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) in South Africa last months
Lahrach claimed that he had been a candidate to referee the match between Nigeria and Burkina Faso, but was bypassed for Haimoudi at the last minute.
The Moroccan official has been ordered to appear before CAF's disciplinary committee to explain his comments.
The indefinite suspension is likely to mean Lahrach would be unable to referee Ghana's 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sudan, seen as CAF has a strict policy in dealing with members of the footballing community who cast the continental governing body's integrity into doubt.
