Yemeni troops advanced on Thursday towards the government compound, east of Mokha city, after clashes with Houthi Ansar Allah group.

According to a military source, violent clashes have been witnessed in the eastern area of the city, as the governmental troops managed to control the Old Quarry area. It added that the Houthi militias and their allies of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh withdrew to the town center.

The governmental troops tightened its grip on the eastern and southern areas of the city, while the warships related to the Arab coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, control the coast.
