The embassy said in the warning: "We recommend you  to keep 5km at least away  from the Syrian border, due to the several incidents occurred when the Syrian  troops crossed the Syrian- Lebanese border, pointing out that “the incidents were violent and unexpected.”
Furthermore, the State Department renewed warning the American citizens from traveling to Lebanon due to the current circumstances, stressing that the American citizens who live and work  in Lebanon are aware of  the consequences of their stay in Lebanon
The statement pointed out the possibility of violent acts in Lebanon remains possible, specially as
The Lebanese forces are not able to protect their citizens or visitors from any unexpected violence.

Some other political sources read the warnings with a lot of concerns and considered it as a preparation for something in the near future.
The sources pointed out that these measures formed the reading of the future developments and the tension in the situation on the Syrian arena. They have also linked between these warnings and failure in the efforts made to continue the investigations regarding the kidnappings targeted  foreigners in Lebanon.
Two killed in Baalbek
In addition to the political and diplomatic tension that Lebanon goes through, internally ,two people were killed in a clash between Jaafar and Rifai Families in Sharawineh Neighborhood in Baalbak on Thursday.
