Israeli Defence Forces soldiers Jerusalem – Sona Al-Deek Dozens were wounded in clashes between the Israeli security forces and Palestinians in the east Jerusalem neighbourhood of Issawiya on Wednesday. The clashes broke out on Tuesday evening between east Jerusalem youths and the Israeli police and soldiers after the IDF (Israel Defence Forces) stormed the house of Palestinian Ayoub Bahaa Abeid  and arrested him for “throwing stones at the IDF soldiers” in Issawiya earlier on the same day.  The clashes continued until late Tuesday, causing the injury of dozens of citizens and of two Israeli soldiers.
One of the Issawiya residents was seriously injured in the head by a rubber bullet during the clashes.
